Born and educated in Birmingham, Greg joined his family's business, Direct Drains in 1988. On his father's retirement in 2000, Greg was appointed Managing Director.
Having firmly established Direct Drains as a significant supplier of regional drainage services to insurance companies, Greg was a leading proponent of the need for a national approach to this market. Greg's efforts led to the founding of The UK Drainage Network Limited in 2003 and to the eventual merger of UKDN with its founding contractors in 2007.
Greg's 24 years of hands on drainage experience resulted in him being invited to co-author the Water Research Centre's Drain Repair Book.
